Here is how PANDORA Radio works with its local targeting in the same markets where we are buying PANDORA and how we will be buying for you if not already. Stay tuned. As of this writing, Sprint phones will now have local stations on them, not a stream, but the actual LIVE local signal off the air as we understand it. While this will be limited unless all smart phones adopt the chip, it is a good move in the right direction. And here is what we have learned about local radio over the past year: LIVE and LOCAL wins. Killer content wins. Robot radio is on the way out, and so are the advertiser results as we have seen in our markets for those types of stations. We’ve even seen what content means nationally on television. Who would have thought that ‘Under the Dome’ on CBS would be the largest, biggest, most successful program to air in 20 years on summer television? It just proves it you have the content, they will come, virtually no matter what the medium is.
